Today was another cheerleading practice.
We practiced some stunts and my stunt groupworked on Heel Stretch Double Downs. ( You will find out what I mean in a minute. ) And guess what? I got it!! It is important to me because my stunt group and I found out that we were the first ever stunt group to get a heel stretch double down inthe Jnr Worlds Team. Today was the Speech Finals at school. I had to do my speech in fron of the middle AND Senior school. My speech was on School Uniforms. My mum had come to watch. To be honest I wasn’t that nervous actually. Because I knew that the other contestants had really good speeches and I thought mine wasn’t at the top of the list. Anyway when they were calling the comadation people I was practising my smile for when I got a commadation place and not a 1st,2nd or 3rd place. I tried to look happy not sad. But then they had finished the commadaiton awards and I was not up. THere was only Holly, Julia and Me. Then the judge annouced “3rd place goes to Kate Mann with her speech on School Uniforms!” I thought ‘yipee!!!’ (:
Then 2nd place went to Julia with her speech on Oldies. ( I really liked Julia’s. ) And 1st was to holly, her speech was on Lanuage of colour.
Well that is pretty much it. Sorry about no being on for awhile.
Sorry I haven’t been on my blog. I have been so busy. And when I have the time I can’t get on.
Ok on Monday we had a assembly and Sheryl talked about Hammertime. On one thing your parents could bid you to be Principal for the Day. They are going to make a movie about it. And I’m the actress of the Child Principal! So Sheryl called me up and I said to everyone while Claire was filming. “Good Morning Everyone.” They all chanted back ” Good Morning Kate.” It was fun. Also on Monday Lesley anounced the winners of the Blog Awards! It went 1st place equal to Marko and Rosa!!! Yay for them!! Whoo hoo. James and I came 2nd equal I tihnk. And we are getting our toys tomorrow! Then on Thursday I had a Cheerleading practice. For tumble we had to do the Beep Test and push ups, sit ups and another one which I forgot what they were called. The Beep test is when you have this c.d on and 6 people. This music comes on and you have to run with the 6 other people 20 metres before a beep noise goes. If it goes and you’re not back you are out. There were nine races until you get past level one. I got up to Level 8 race 7. I had won out of my group and overall out of the Viperz and Stormz! Also there was a contest to see how many girl pushups you could do. I was really bad. I got 43 and my friend Jazmin got 102. She won overall by the way. Then there were how many proper sit ups you could do in a minute. I don’t know who won that but I got 61. I don’t know what this one was called but you had to jump up and then land with your legs bent quite low but not too low. And you had to do as many has you could in a minute. I think I got 51? Oh well. We will be doing that every 6 weeks!! On Friday my family came over for my birthday. I got 1 pair of red boots. A Jaqueline Wilson book called the Diamond Girls. 3 pairs of earrings and Now 27! Also my Grandma flew over from Hawkes Bay to stay with us until Monday. She is sleeping my room and I am sleeping in my old room. On Saturday we had a Netball Game. Courtney and Olivia played for us since Alessandra had a auditon and Elais was sick. We were winning the whole game until the last quarter the other team got ahead by 2 points. Then one of their players got injured so they standed in the middle of the court saying “Are you alright?” Secretly waiting till the bell would go so they could win. They wasted at least 7 minutes and none of the umpires took the girl that got injured off. So they won. Anyway in the afternoon I had a New Zealands Got Talent practice because we got threw to the next round!!! Yay Yay! I know. It was a good practise. Then I went to my cousins Danielle and Charlotte’s house. I stayed the night and watched the Hannah Montana concert on Disney Channel! We had the glasses and watched half of it but the glasses were really annoying becuase they kept coming off. ( They were made out of paper. ) So we watched the regular version which was after the 3.D version. So there was no need for the glasses! It was really cool and gave me some ideas about what I can wear on Tuesday. Because since it is the start of the month at cheerleading we celebrate by dressing up in a theme. This month it is Your Favorite Celebrity. Mine is Miley Cyrus but since I’m blonde I am dressing up as Hannah Montana. Today I went to the Food Show and tasted lots of chocolate. Yum! Ok I’m done.
I had a fantastic day turning eleven! First for my presents I got: A HSM top with Vanessa Hudgens and Zac Efron on the top, The All Star Stormz top, Shampoo!, A soft toy bunny, hair clips, a cuddle buddy and a ipod nano!
Then Mia from my class baked me a Birthday Cake. It was a delicious chocolate brownie! With beautiful green icing and scrumptious jaffas on top speeling K M. My initials! I also got a lollipop from Lovely Lesley.
At cheerleading today we did stunts and tumble. My round off flick tuck was pretty high. Well for me comsidering I am the shortest in my team. But not for long because this new girl Ashley might be coming in to our team! She is really nice and good. We also have a new girl named Paris. She can round off flick layout!! I met her in New Zealands Got Talent! Because she can do really good tumble she got put in. So did I and that is how I met her. Wow I got all the way over to New Zealands Got Talent? Holy Cow! Anyway..
I had a great day and I am looking forward to tomorrow and espically Monday!
Julia, Emily, Olivia, Mollie, Tom, Millie and I went to Gladstone school for a Jump Jam practise.
We learnt 7 new dance routines and practised 1. It was very tiring. the songs we did our routines were to: Gotta Give up, Proud Mary, The Nicest Kids in town [ Hairspray. ], Chiuwawa [ I think ] , I don’t feel like dancing and You can’t stop the beat [ Hairspray. ] My favourtie was You can’t stop the beat. It was fast, energetic and a great song to dance or listen to! There is also a Jump Jam Idol I might enter.
